Ireland

I have decided to try out the life of the Irish from January until June. In a way travel but earning money on the same time. My dream has always been to be an exchange student and now I will be,... All alone in a new country with strangers.

Gonna try getting a job in a speciality café,... which reminds me of sending a mail to miss Sonja Grant!

Ten Little Unlucky Boys

There has been halabaloo, loads of angriness and arguments in Iceland the last few weeks about the return of the children's book "ten little niggers" or in Icelandic "tíu litlir negrastrákar". The book is about ten little black boys who one by one dies until there is only one left who meets a girl and together they have children until they were ten again.

Parents of black and semi black children in Iceland have been furious about this because both the story and the drawings come from a time when there was a lack of knowledge of how wonderful people can be of all the colors from pale beige to dark brown.

If i had been around when the book had been in remaking I would have made a little, just a little change,... I would have called the book ten little boys. There would be no racism at all in the book if it was called that. I don't think it matters what color the paintings are if they were just called happy boys or clumsy boys but the word nigger is wrong to place in children's literature.

Even Agatha Christie changed the title of her book Ten Little Niggers into the better title "And Then There Were None" (all of them died in that version).

Then some say that the book is republished in the memory of the illustrator Muggur. I know for a fact that he could draw better than this and you can see that in the book Dimmalimm, so this book could have just stayed in a museum I think.

Most of the old child stories have been made milder through the years, Cinderella's sisters don't get their eyes poked out by doves, Gulliver does only travel to the Lilliput land, the two first pigs do not get eaten by the wolf and the icelandic santa mother has lately become a pretty nice lady who doesn't eat bad behaving kids.

I think the book shouldn't have been published but now it is to late, so parents, just educate your children will you!

Here is a little sample from Gulliver's travel to Brobdingnag.

When dinner was almost done, the nurse came in with a child of a year old in her arms, who immediately spied me, and began a squall that you might have heard from London-Bridge to Chelsea, after the usual oratory of infants, to get me for a plaything. The mother, out of pure indulgence, took me up, and put me towards the child, who presently seized me by the middle, and got my head into his mouth, where I roared so loud that the urchin was frighted, and let me drop, and I should infallibly have broke my neck, if the mother had not held her apron under me. The nurse, to quiet her babe, made use of a rattle which was a kind of hollow vessel filled with great stones, and fastened by a cable to the child's waist: but all in vain; so that she was forced to apply the last remedy by giving it suck. I must confess no object ever disgusted me so much as the sight of her monstrous breast, which I cannot tell what to compare with, so as to give the curious reader an idea of its bulk, shape, and colour. It stood prominent six feet, and could not be less than sixteen in circumference. The nipple was about half the bigness of my head, and the hue both of that and the dug, so varied with spots, pimples, and freckles, that nothing could appear more nauseous: for I had a near sight of her, she sitting down, the more conveniently to give suck, and I standing on the table. This made me reflect upon the fair skins of our English ladies, who appear so beautiful to us, only because they are of our own size, and their defects not to be seen but through a magnifying glass; where we find by experiment that the smoothest and whitest skins look rough, and coarse, and ill-coloured.

Dumbledore

I know I am so late getting the news, but!

Found out a moment ago that JK Rowling confessed to the public that Professor Dumbledore the headmaster of Harry Potter's school Hogwarts was gay. When he was 17 years old he fell in love with his friend Gellert Grindelwald who later became a fearsome dark wizard.

I have always admired that Rowling goes over the line of what parents and the church wanna see in a book for children. Personally though I don't think Harry Potter is suited for children, it's a story full of evil, torture and cold blooded murder.

Now people are scared parents will have a spastic attack because of Dumbledore coming out.

Where can one find these brainwashed parents that allow their children to read about a 14 year old boy dragging himself bleeding fiercely and his dead friend away from a graveyard full of sadistic murderers, rather than having one of the good characters a homosexual.

I am wordless. Pleuff!

Yes my dear friends, not only the norse languages have long words like mótórhjólalögreglumaður. Latin seems to have them too.

I think the penicillin is working, have pains in my throat still but hope they will be gone tomorrow, getting tired of my room and painkillers.

Nostalgia

Bone Ache

I have been away from work for two days now because of some stupid flu or something.

I can't be bothered with this, so boring, well mainly boring, I have done fun things too, like watching Heroes and Requiem For A Dream and videos that are supposed to teach you how to solve the Rubik's Cube.

Why isn't the keyboard on the computer in alphabetical order? It doesn't make sense, why not mix up the numbers as well?

I have probably lost some 10 liters of sweat since tuesday, well I think tuesday, I am not really sure what day it is today,... Thursday, October 25th,... My calendar tells me I forgot Peter's birthday again. Oh well I am sure it was a good one anyway. Sorry about that.

By the way, my back has been killing me for some time now and since I don't have a doctor I needed to go to the extra doctors in Kópavogur. I came there and the doctor hardly looked at my back, he just gave me pain killers and said that if the pain doesn't go away in 10 days I should go to a specialist. Those words cost me 1.800 kr. My pain killers are almost finished, they haven't worked at all for my back, so I guess I'll have to find that specialist. The pain killers were a dream come true for my flu though, my throat doesn't hurt nearly as much. Hooray for Vóstar-S.

I'm hungry, wish I had a butler or a maid now. Fortunately this flat is tiny so the kitchen is only 5 meters or so away, it will take me just a few seconds to get there, and a lot of headache. Will do that soon,...

Over and out.

Iceland Airwaves 2007

My fourth Iceland Airwaves just finished. Iceland Airwaves is a great music festival
that takes part in October every year in Reykjavík. This year the venues were many and the concerts great. The best of all was that I didn't need to queue (what a strange word) at all this year and the weather was fine.

My favourite bands were:
Slow Club (UK)
Lonely Dear (SE)
Solid Gold (picture) (US)
Hjaltalín (IS)
Múm (IS)
Lay Low (IS)
Trentemöller (DK)
Ra Ra Riot (US)

EEEEmil!

Last weekend IKEA was celebrated it's 1 year birthday in it's new location in Iceland.

I got the job to dress up as the unwillingly bad behaving Emil. For those who don't know who he is,... Emil is a fictional character from on of Astrid Lindgren's books. Astrid also wrote the stories about Pippi Longstocking.

I patrolled IKEA along with a Pippi trying to cheer up the kids by giving them balloons, Swedish flags and sweets. As Pippi and Emil very often behave badly then it was a great opportunity to behave badly while in character,... We had office chair rally, jumped in the beds, drove around in the trolleys, tried all the lamps and ate a lot og sweets!

Money

What can I do to earn some huge extra money? I can't sing or dance so that is not the thing to do.

I really don't want to take huge real loans to be able to study in England next year. Why can't I just get a big student loan?

If only Iceland had the same deal as the EU countries. A swedish citizen gets to pay the same as an englander for a school in England, while Icelanders have to pay many times more.

It's unfair!

A-People vs. B-People

I never hear so much about this subject in Iceland, but in Sweden and Denmark people are divided into A and B.

The A-People wake up early without a problem and get tired early in the evening, while the B-People have to drag their asses out of bed in the morning and can be awake late late.

My mum and dad are both definitely without a doubt A, but waking up before 10am is just a killer for me. I start every other day working in Kaffitár in Bankastræti at 7am and the other day 9am! Who invented these hours? It is still cold outside and you hear the sleeping sound of the city. I think it is unhealthy and just plain barbarianism to not allow me to sleep longer and still be in a job I like.

Why isn't Þrallur's life perfect? (I know I shouldn't complain,... some people have no jobs and no food and no clothes and no parents, but it is human to always be seeking something better, that is what intelligence is all about,... knowing what is missing!)

The Birds And The Bees

Ever since the wasp stung me in the knee I have had dreams where I am walking outside and suddenly wasps or bumblebees start flying around my head, just waiting for me to hit them so they can sting, but I always stay calm and the dream is just a long fear of being stung.

Knifes And Shoes

I got an interview in a shoe store in Kringlan and am going to see the manager tomorrow. Hope the will have me and pay me loads of money.

Today I also saw a fight in bright daylight, we were inside Kaffitár in Bankó and suddenly heard some yelling. Outside was a guy arguing with a guy inside a car and suddenly the car opened and the guy inside jumped out with a knife ca. 20 cm long or 8". Where is Reykjavík heading?

Prikið

I will miss Prikið the bar very much when I move away next time, I am here all the time. Mostly with my coworkers but also alone and with random friends. The Kaffitárers are even becoming famous there and known for always sitting at the same table. When you are hung over nothing is better that coming to Prikið and gúff a Sweaty Burger with a large Coke and a slice of lemon. I really recommend this place.

Gay Pride 2007

Hej Allihopa!

Gay Pride this year was fab and fun as always. Loaded with feelings and activities.

I walked like two years ago with the FSS group (the organization
of gay, bi and trans gender students), this year the theme was to show people that we are not just homos we are so much more. Everyone had stickers on them saying things like: brother, computer nerd, farmer, singer, barista,...

I had a VIP pass to the festival which included special offers in Q bar, ticket to the movie Hairspray, parties and things to wear.

My dream pride festival will be the day someone from my closest family will be able to join me in the main festival on the Saturday. Maybe next year someone will be able to enjoy the happiness and the love that surrounds the hill Arnarhóll next to their most loved fag Þrallur,... we'll see!

The Trip

The funniest thing about my trip with Héðinn Er and Anna Sóley to Europe was that we did nothing that tourists do. In other words there is nothing to say, I am gonna try though,...

Friday the 13th of July me and Anna started to pack in the evening, Anna in her packing mood of rage and me trying to stay out of her way. We decided that we had everything at 1am and took a short nap until 4.15 when Héðinn came, picked us up and we drove to the airport.

The pilot was a funny German who spoke a bit like Goldmember and we enjoyed him a lot when he was speaking to the passengers.

We landed in Copenhagen and went straight down town looking for a cheap place to stay (we are Icelanders and don't plan you see). Anna called her parents for information on how to find the superb espresso bar Estate Coffee where we were sure to get information on how to find a nice hostel. The hostels we found in the phone book didn't answer so we decided to visit Anna's family (who were staying in Copenhagen for holliday) until we got an answer. At their place I remembered that I had my Spartacus travel guide with me and looked up Denmark and we decided to give this world a try and called a guesthouse. They goy said he had a 4 persons room available if we could come straight away cause he was on his way to go out in an hour. We jumped up, ran out and took a taxi to the most beautiful and awesome guesthouse I have seen,... and cheap as well. Our room had two double beds, a table for six, a sofa and loads of artwork (one of them a stuffed parrot). Instantly we decided to stay a four nights of our short trip in Copenhagen.

In Copenhagen we met Kolbrún, Þorgerður and Búi who all live there for the summer. Búi me and Héðinn went to the annual Queer Festival which was like nothing else I have ever seen, can't even describe it.

We also saw Cristiania, shops, parks, restaurants, Mcdonalds, loads of bars, sun, monsoon rain, an old fashion photo booth,...

Hamburg was our next destination, as true Icelanders we got to the train 5 minutes before departure, without breakfast and no cafeteria on board, I was starving but my prayers were answered when the train had to board a ferry between Denmark and Germany. We called a hotel from Spartacus and arrived there in the evening. This time we weren't as lucky, the owner of the hotel looked like Riff Raff's (from Rocky Horror) sister. There was a smell of a old ladies perfume there and so many different kinds of locks. We did pretty much the same things in Hamburg as in Copenhagen, but instead of Cristiania there was a red light district. The hookers were so far away from the ones in the movies, they were just regular pretty girls in regular clothes (probably so men could take them to their hotels without being too obvious). Me and Héðinn forbade Anna to stop walking so that no one would try to buy her services (If you have read the previous lines you see that I am not meaning that she looks like a whore).

On the train between Hamburgh and Amsterdam there were some Spanish people sitting near us, Anna understands a little Spanish and they were talking about us all the time, quite funny at the time (you had to be there). We did not stop drinking although we hadn't had a sober night since Iceland. Nope we just kept on.

The hookers in Amsterdam were all indoors behind huge windows in almost no clothes. Anyway we didn't pay much attention to them, we are all for clothes. I bought some nice clothes in American Apparel, really nice. And went to the strangest bars. On the 21st I went to a bookstore and bought the last piece of my bible,... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Such a good book, really recommend it.

Me and Anna Sóley had a flight back to Iceland from Frankfurt so we went ther a day before, slept at a youth hostel and woke up early for a coffee before the flight. We decided to have the coffee at the trainstation, but when we got there we saw there was a train we could take to the airport just a few minutes after coming there so decided to have the coffee at the airport. We went there had our coffee and then went in good time searching for the check-in desk, the guy in the information only found Icelandair on his list so we decided that Iceland Express must be close to that one. Anna called her parents just in case to check it out and we found out Frankfurt has two airports, Frankfurt Main and Frankfurt Hahn. Shit we thought and found out that the bus there would take one hour and 45 minutes and that bus would leave in 30 minutes. We found a taxi and of we went. We arrived at the Frankfurt Hahn 70 minutes later and just ten minutes before our flight but luckily there was a delay so we checked in and sat down for a coke and a laugh. Isn't this just typical us? We are amazed we are allowed to leave our flat.

There you go, finally the story of our relax trip!

Drawing

I am drawing again, after a long pause, I love drawing and don't understand why I don't do it all the time. I am planning on making my portfolio a lot better so that I will get accepted into a nice school next year.

London is my goal again, but not the end destination. I am to stiff in my mind to draw a lot, need to practise more but my mind always wants to have it perfect so that is where I brake, when I try something I can't do perfectly. A working space would be nice too, like a studio, have to work out how that will happen.

3 and a half day until the plane departs to copenhagen...

No Title

Well then,...

Mum and my sister Birna + fam are in Iceland, they are very busy but I cought a hug from them and spent a little time with mum today. I usually work in the National Gallery but swapped with Héðinn today so mum went to look for me there with her oldest sister Magný. Héðinn has often heard about mum's youngest sister Sonja or Aunt Tútta as she calles herself and Héðinn asked Magný whether she was Tútta frænka. When mum told me this she started to laugh so much she couldn't walk.

We went to drink coffee at Magný's friends house in the garden which I thought was very fun we sat in the garden drinking coffee from very old cups and it started to rain and we just sat there in the rain talking and having a nice time. I admire people that aren't afraid of the weather and can just enjoy life.

In a week me and Héðinn and Anna Sóley will be sitting in a bar in Copenhagen having a nice pint of Carlsberg with Kolbrún, really looking forward to that!

Allergy

This is the field I had to cycle through every day in seventh grade and 7.45 in the morning before my allergy pill had started to work. Decided to take a picture of it when I was in Sweden the other day to remember the pain forever.

Another Saturday Night

Sitting home with Héðinn, Anna Sóley and Kristín. I am eating pills that don't allow me to drink and I am just fine with that we are just you-tubing and they are drinking beer.

Now they went out and I am just you-tubing alone hehe.

Pooh looked on admiringly.
'I'm just saying "A Happy Birthday",' said Owl carelessly.
'It's a nice long one,' said Pooh, very much impressed by it.
'Well, actually, of course, I'm saying "A Very Happy Birthday with love from Pooh." Naturally it takes a good deal of pencil to say a long thing like that.'
Oh, I see,' said Pooh.

Reading Mood

I have read three books since coming back from Sweden. I get so emotional when reading, I can be angry, laughing, in love, childish, dreaming and crying from reading. Books affect me much more than movies and TV.

Right now I am reading Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A.Milne. I just laugh and laugh.

Thinking Days

In the past week I have been so full of thoughts about my lives, my work-life, education-life, my love-life, family-life,...

NO conclusions have jumped on me so I suppose answers will find their way in their own time. I'm in no hurry. Or I try to tell myself that. It would be nice to have everything clear. But I'm OK.

This was a short and minimized sample of my mind right now,...

Celebration

Blargh...

Back home in sunny breezy 101.

Sweden was fab and not.

So nice to see the family, see my brothers graduation, listen to Afi tell stories about when he was young, see how tall my nieces are(Anna Bára is taller than her mother now), drink soda water with cactus flavor, meet Maggi's new girlfriend, take smiley photos, buy underwear in H&M, cycle through the horrible field full of flowers that was on my way to school as a teenager(I am allergic), try to recognize friends in the street(seems like they have left like me), melt and almost suffocate in the heat, struggle with Swedish adult talk(I moved away 16 years old), see unfriendly faces from old times, get mosquito bites that itch like hell, introduce Heroes to Maggi, miss Iceland, relax and talk a lot about everything and nothing at all,...

Oh Sweden how wonderfully dull and boring you are!

Smoke Bay Smoke Free

Today Iceland will go one step further in making the people immortal. Today my dear friends smoking will be banned in all public places with four walls and a roof. This will be both celebrated and complained about but personally I think it is brilliant, if I was a smoker I would love to stand outside and smoke. Fresh air and cool a little bit down and relax, then I would go back into the madness full of air, nicotine and power.

This has been done in Scotland, Sweden, Norway and and and,...

A Swedish friend of mine used to smoke a lot, and has now stopped since he is too lazy to go outside and he doesn't complain.

Forgot to tell,...

I am heading to the Lagom country this Sunday the 3rd of June. My dear brother Maggi (like the soups yes) is graduating from Gymnasiet.

I've found two girls from my class in Söderköping who are going to see me, haven't seen them for eight years (wow when I started to count that my stomach jumped, it feels like yesterday) and at least I have changed a lot, have a beard and wiesed hair.

Power?

All my life I have been a dreamer, dreaming about supernaturally solving every situation that comes. I don't know where I would be without fantasy and imagination.

When I was six I moved to Sweden with my mum and siblings, for the first months we lived in a caravan in the middle of the forest and I used to walk around catching butterflies with my hands and wish for a winged pony that could help me flying between the two countries, I always felt guilty about not being able to be with all the people I love at the same time.

I can't stop fictional books, comics, TV shows and films from totally eating me and possess me like a demon. The feeling that comes over me every time I realize that nothing like this will ever happen to me reminds me of claustrophobia, I really feel trapped and helpless. This terrible feeling makes me glad in a way though because it reminds me that I am still alive, dreaming and haven't yet grown up.

The supernatural power that impresses me the most is self-propelled flight, that is to be able to fly without using technology. I dream of this a lot when I sleep actually, once I flew from Spain to Greece with my brother Magnús sitting on my back, don't remember why but it was amazing.

The fictional stories that have made me feel the worst/best are:

Nordic Mythology
My Little Pony
The Belgariad
X-Men
Harry Potter
Heroes

But many things have happened, Freyja and Tommy have gotten older, Serbia won Eurovision, I got pissed on Austurvöllur with red wine in in a plastic glass, I talked too much drinking red wine in Hörður's 10.000 day birthday party, I managed to sell coffee and cakes for 91.000kr in 7 hours all by myself in the National Gallery, I got rejected form the art school, I bought a ticket for Sweden in June for my brother Magnús' graduation, Kolbrún left me for another man in Denmark, Mr. Afraid of cars and Mr. Afraid of heights went on a road trip together to Akureyri, I have watched a lot of Heroes (only one episode left, what will I do after it?), I found a strange thing shaped as a blueberry in the right part of my scrotum last year and went to the doctor and they didn't find anything, now it has grown so I am waiting for an appointment with the doctor again,...

3 Years Old

Three years have gone now,... One might ask oneself what happened three years ago? Was there a nuclear man that exploded in New York City,... Or maybe there was a huge Life Aid concert in the middle of the Sahara desert. Nope three years have gone since I told my cousin and friend Ásgeir about my "condition".

The next few days after I tried to tell as many of my closest family as I could and in the meanwhile I lost so much weight because of stress that I almost disappeared. When I look back at the photos I look like a burnt out rocker who just found out his woman gave birth. Haha.

Anyway, breakfast NOW!

Ba ba babababa

I'm falling in love
With a boy I just met today
He's so pretty, he's so beautifully dressed...

P.S.

My computer is broken that is why I am a "lazy blogger" these days

Hey

To begin with I wanna tell you that I did quite crappy at the Latte Art Competition, I just don't think I am a competition person.

Secondly I have now moved and live in Holtsgata, my dad's old apartment that my cousine now owns. I live there with a girl called Anna Sóley, a young, singing barista.

The last thing I am gonna tell you today is that I got an interview with LHI (Listaháskóli Íslands, Iceland School of Art)

Happy I am, yes I am!

Latte Art

I am working now on two projects...

-Portfolio for the Icelandic Art College. (am very lazy though... you have to cheer for me!)

-Latte Art championship, that is going better, the only thing is that I might mess it up my frothing the milk badly in the competition.

Results

I did crap at the competition so I am not in the Kaffitár team this year. I am OK with that it was my own fault I messed it up.

Now I am preparing my portfolio for school and working...

Barista con Pene

I have signed up for three barista competitions this year. The main one of course and then the Latte Art competition and also Coffee in Good Spirits.

In the Iceland Barista Championship I have to make four small expresso, four cappuccino and for signature drinks that I make up myself. If I would win there I get to compete in the World Barista Championship, but I would be very happy with being one of the six highest, then maybe I would compete in the Nordic or the Europe championships.

In Latte Art I need to make two small macchiato, two latte and two drinks of any size I want. In this competition it is the pattern in the milk-froth that matters.

What I have to do in Coffee in Good Spirits is two Irish Coffee and two signature alcoholised coffee cocktails. The practises for this one often end in very good spirits!

The first competition is the Kaffitár one though, it will be this sunday and I am so ready!!

Eiríkur Hauksson

Last Saturday the Icelandic song for the Eurovision Song Contest was elected. Eiríkur Hauksson was chosen by the nation, he has previously competed twice in the contest 1986 for Iceland with the song Gleðibankinn or Bank of joy, along with Helga Möller and Pálmi Gunnarsson, and then 1991 with the group Just 4 Fun and the song Mrs. Thompson, and that was for Norway.

Personally I voted for another song I thought was better but thats just my taste isn't it.

In the evening I went for a Eurovision Party in Nasa and danced my buttocks off!!

Go Iceland!

National Gallery Of Iceland

Tomorrow I will take over the Kaffitár in the National Gallery of Iceland. I will work alone and that will be very interesting. The customers aren't so many yet but hopefully they will find me soon. Not everyone knows Kaffitár is there, and some think you have to pay to get in, but the gallery is always free... come to me!!

The End

Sitting in Prikið after work with a dælukók thinking about life and the universe...

I realize I never told you the rest of my travel story. I have some extra minutes so I will procede,... here we go!

After a few lovely days with my sisters I took the train south to my dear mum and brother in Norrköping. I was so tired and afraid I would miss the station where I had to swap trains, however I made it and met mum and Maggi at the station and we took the bus to mum's flat in Hageby. the days I had in Norrköping were very relaxed and nice, just like my christmas in Iceland. When mum was working I spent time with Maggi and when he was at school I was with mum. I also had a cuppa with our friends Guðjón and Kickan which was very nice. I found out more and more that me and Norrköping will never be friends, I have bad feelings towards the town and don't think I can get over them.

I stayed with mum and Maggi for a few days and took a train towards Copenhagen and Kristín,... the train left Norrköping but 20 minutes later the trainman told us that the train would stop in Linköping and everyone had to stay there because south Sweden had a storm and the traffic was to be stopped. I got a nice hotel room and would have enjoyed it if the town of Linköping wasn't so dull.

The next day I went to the train station and the staff told me the train traffic would be down that day too. I decided to check on the busses and the lady there told me there was a bus to Malmö and I bought the ticket and waited. the bus was so full they had to call another and the journey started. On the way I started to count broken trees but stopped after a while because they were everywhere, huge trunks cut in half.

When we finally got to Malmö the bus was four busses. I found the train station and took the train to Copenhagen. Kristín met me and asked whether I wanted to take my huge luggage to her flat that was an hour away or just bring it to the bar,... I was hungry and thirsty so we went straight to the bar. The first bar had the coolest and cleanest urinals I have ever seen and all kinds of funny designs all over the bar. Me and Kristín had a few beers and went on to the next level which was a karaoke bar andfinally after a few more beers we took my luggage and ourselves to the only bar still open which was a gay bar. Late late and very drunk we took a taxi home and slept to late late. I stayed for three nights in Copenhagen and had more beers and more bars and loads of fun. Kristín and me took old fashioned photo booth pictures which I will post some day they are very cool.

London was my next destination and I went early in the morning to the airport and to the cue to check in. The cue was very slow and Ii couldn't understand why until I read on the screen that my flight was no more and they were rebooking people for a later flight because there was a storm in England, wasn't a surprice at all and I had to stay at the airport for several hours waiting for the plane to get a green light for flying. The plane finally was supposed to go and we boarded, but then they had to wait more and we were stuck in the plane for another two hours before take off. This would have been better if they hadn't decided not to load any food on the plane in Heathrow that morning because they didn't thin they would fly more so we had no food at all but plenty of drinks.

We finally got to London and I stayed there for three nights and had a nice time alone because my friend there went abroad the same weekend. The best part of London was the Unskinny Bop event in Bethnal Green where they play nice music and all kinds of people come and dance and have fun.

The day after Unskinny Bop I went for two nights to Paris. I went out in the eveninghs with my friend Philippe and had the best steaks I have ever tasted. I also checked out Notre Dame but otherwise I just had a relaxing time, but caught a cold which affected the rest of the journey. I didn't find the gate at the train station back to London so I missed the train and had to wait for the next which was shit bacause I felt really bad. This was the fourth delay in my journey and now I really hate train stations and airports haha!!

My last destination was Edinburgh and Gregor. Edinburgh was really nice but as I wrot just a moment ago I had a cold and wasn't as able to have party and enjoy the city as I would have liked. I saw some kilts I really would like to buy and partied with Gregor's school buddies who are really nice. You can see the party and Gregors fabulous dance talents in a previous blog with a video.

Thats all for now folks, over and out!

The Beginning...

I think today is a splendid day to start my travel story...

On the 4th of January I went to the airport in Keflavik to fly to Sweden. I got there by bus quite early and when I went to check in I couldn't find the SAS desk, so I went to an Icelandair desk and asked whether they could check me in. The woman took my ticket and then told me there was no SAS flight that day, that my ticket was for the 8th... I told her that this must be wrong but no I had booked the wrong day, how I can only guess. So I bought a new ticket and flew on the friday the 5th instead, middle landed in Oslo and flew the rest of the way on the saturday morning.

When I finally got to Sweden I bought a ticket to Sollerön to visit my sisters Birna and Anna Jóna... Anna Jóna by the way is 34 years old today,... hooray for her!!

I don't know what you are thinking of in that picture Anna Jóna,... but I think it helps you to forget your age and rather think of what a nasty brother you have... love you!

Party With Scottish Art Students

Crazy Friday night in Edinburgh

My Little Pony

My favourite programme when I was small!!

90's

Þú ert 90´s kid ef þú:

Þú getur klárað þessa setningu [ice ice _ _ _ _ ]

Þú manst eftir því þegar það var ennþá spennandi að vakna á laugardagsmorgnum til að horfa á barnaefnið...

Þú færð ennþá "urge" til að segja "NOT" á eftir næstumþví öllu

Hej Igen!

It's good I think having no things to do, you get so much time over for thinking and stuff like that.

I am now these days on racing speed saving the world in my head, if only someone with power would listen to my thoughts! haha!

Having fun though,...

Lovjoohejdå!

Hej Hej!

At present time I have been in Sweden four days. I started my dwelling in Sollerön where my lovely sisters live. There we had nice meals, long talks and massive plannings for the future. All of us are going to be famous,... we just need more time, more money and more creativity. What you my sear reader can help us with is the money... haha!

Now I am in Norrköping staying with mum and my brother Magnús,... more about that later I'm busy!
