Golden Circle

Gregor came to me on Tuesday and we have had two beautiful sunny days since.

Today it was a bit cloudy and we decided to go for the golden circle,... Gullfoss, Geysir and Þingvellir, so beautiful and interesting.

Tonight we are going to se the musical Cabaret at the Opera... after that we are going to Heiðar´s fare well party at Prikið.

I am back...

Open Stage Night

Wow!

Tonight there was an open stage night... that is, anyone could perform, and chose what to do.

It was incredible... Óli from the faeroes and Alo-Jarmo from Estonia had a course about what you should and shouldn´t do on a date... Lulu from Denmark played on piano and sang two incredible songs she had written, so did Stinne from Denmark... some girls sang "Fever" (dressed as old ladies)... Barbara from the Faeroes sang two songs and danced too... Daniel from Norway had the funniest stand-up, I so admire people that can do that, my tongue always gets in the way when I talk (see the last blog)... and at last Amanda from Sweden did sami Yoik (so beautiful)... I had signed up as well but had no time to reherse so I jumped out on the last minute... damn it!!

Radio Gaga!

I am such a looser... a looser with a big L...

There came a radio girl from the local radio station to the school and wanted to take an interview with four of the NUTUs and I was chosen from Iceland... well I said yes cause noone else did...

I spoke swedish in the interview... and accidently said that I am from Sweden and not Iceland... mistake number one and everyone laughed, both the swedish part and the laughter were played on the radio!!

I have made myself a fool in the faeroes... haha... beat that!!

Who is Thrallur??

I fit in here so perfectly, I love my life in Iceland but there is so much here that is just totally Thrallur, you know(skiluru)!

I relax and don´t think about appearance and am just comfortable about being me... I like it... but still I miss my life in Iceland a lot...

Day off...

Today we are having a day off, tomorrow the second week start.

My class had a show yesterday, the others could first see how we warmed up, running around all relaxed, closing your eyes with someone else controlling you... while running! We also sang... and I actually joined, I am so proud!

The last part of the show was the sexy fire-stick dance, then swallowing fire and last the powerful drum dance.

Everyone thought I did well and I am so happy I came here, it has been very good for my self confidence...

Have to go to the WC, see you...

Fire Breathing!!!!!

Today I learnt how to swallow fire, so much fun and tomorrow we will learn how to breath fire(spúa eldi)... I am so excited.

I will have the most magnifique bubble butt after this week, hamstrings all over!

I have never...

We played a drinking game without alcohol, we just had to draw cards instead.

The game is called I have never and goes like this...

If X says: I have never danced on a table.
Then everyone that have danced on a table have to drink/take a card. In that game everyone found out that I am not heterosexual and I think the boys are a little afraid of me now because, they didn´t find out I have a boyfriend allready... hehe!!

By the way... now I´m called Mr. Many Cards :S

Voice and Movement

As many people know, I am tonedeaf(laglaus) and I am also non flexible(stirður sem staur).

What we do in the "voice and movement" is to sing and move and if you read the first line again, then you my problem...! right?

But it is so much fun and I can do lots of stuff even though I am a walkin and talking spear. The teacher´s name is Kefas, a swedish dancer/actor I think, he is great and his helper too Cecilia.

Today we have been doing excersises to learn working together as one. We have also been singing exotic songs and move while doing it, being pushed and well disturbed while singing.

Also we did drum like barbarians and learn how to swing a firestick!!

So much fun!!

Natan i Føroyjar

Hej allihopa.

I´m now sitting in Føroyja Læraraskúli in Tórshavn. Having an excellent time with great people. Allready everyone has caught a nickname because of difficulties in learning all the names. I am the only person having a name with a letter only excisting in Iceland, since the icelandic Ð excist in the faeroish language but not my "funky P".

The school opening was tonight but the courses start tomorrow. The first week i am having a course called Voice and Movement, the teacher will teach us some exotic drum dancing and playing with firesticks and torches.

The second week I will have a Stage fight course... very cool also... We will learn how to hit each other and get hit without pain.

I miss you all my delicious sleikisneisur(lollipops)... or at least most of you...
