Dinner, Party and Lunch
Gregor and his friends are a quite funny group, all of them unique in heirown way. Almost like the girls in Sex and the City except they discuss other things than sex. If one of them has a problem it sems like one of the other has the answer, so nice actually.
We were invited for dinner last night at his friend Lorraine´s place. We got picked up by Tim and allready at Lorraine´s was Jon, the last piece of the puzzle is Anne who was at home preparing the new years party so she didn´t come.
While waiting for the bread to bake we ate olives and feta cheese and drank some swedish Glögg, and when the bread was ready we had some Champagne and a delicious very thick vegetable soup, you could have eaten it with a fork, thats how soup should be!! After the dinner we had red wine, sloe gin and roasted Chestnuts(kastanjer) with salt. Magnifique!
Tonight we are going to Anne´s New Years Party and tomorrow we have lunch at Tim´s place, I am actually doing the desert, frozen cheese cake á la Arne the funny Mathteacher from Söderköping!

Cold Inside
I have been wondering why this apartment is so cold, even though no windows are open and the heating is on. Well I have now found the reason, there is single layer of glass in the windows. I am sure it would be less expensive to warm up britain in the winter with double windows. Has anyone told the queen about that??

Back in Britain
Hello hello, now i'm back in Cambridge, don't really know what day it is anyway,... yup there it is, the 29th of december, soon new year!
In Sweden we did all kinds of stuff, like... eating, we ate swedish christmas food, icelandic christmas food, finnish and scottish as well, all very good... except some of the swedish things!
Other things we did was sliding on little matresses in the snow, almost killing my brother in law Peter as me and Gregor slided into him at high sped where he was standing on a little bump that was supposed to stop us down... well we almost killed ourselfs by sliding as well, since the bump didn't stop us at all and we flew over it and landed on big pieces of ice. I guess that hill was made for children not two childish grown up men!
Tommy my other brother in law took all the guys into the forest to shoot clay pidgeons (leirdúfur), That sounds quite dangerous but no snow sliding is so much more dangerous, no bruises while shooting while there were a lot after the snow sliding!
Oh of course! I blew some fire as well, both at my sister Birna's and also at my sister Anna Jóna's

Sollerön
Hi there everyone,
Now I have a lot to say but not long time to say it in,...
My trips have been perfect I slept through most of them actually, Gregor came to get me at the airport and we went HOME to unpack my things and get rested for the trip the day after. We had to wake up early and walk to the train station, then we took the train to Kings Cross in London, platform 10, just next to 9 3/4. From there we took the underground to Heathrow, a plane from there to Stockholm, a train from there to Borlänge and finally we went by car to Sollerön.
My brother Magnus surpriced us in the train while we were sleeping by coming and laying his hand on my shoulder, I had no idea he would be there and it was so funny, then he shook Gregor's hand or so he thought, Gregor sat in front of me but Magnus greeted the guy next to me. hehe!
In Sollerön we have baked a ginger bread house, and played in the snow with the little girls, Gregor is having a great tima and I think my family loves him, althoug the small girls are a bit shy. Mum is coming tonight so the final test is not far away, Gregor has been doing yoga and meditation and is as ready as he can be.
So, hohoho from the sno!

1 day: Cold Feet
Gregor sent me an sms today and told me I better not get cold feet(bakþankar) now,... I told him back that he is about to get cold feet soon, now that Sollerön, where we will spend christmas, has -15°C and a lot of snow.
I am soon heading out for a last beer with the coffee people, a good end of a busy day, I have finished packing and handing back things that don´t belong to me. I will miss all Iceland and the people there which have changed me from a polite and extremly shy young boy into a robust man!! hehe

11.45pm last night seven crazy baristi came storming out of Kringlan wearing comfortable clothes and holding dangerous fully loaded cream guns, they were heading for the battle field on the north side of the great mall.

3 days: Last day at work,...
Kaffitár has literally been my home for the last one and a half year I suppose. Many of my friends work there and they all have a part in building my personality,... I came out of the closet while working there, I met Gregor while working there and I even got to know Dofri through Kaffitár.
We have had many superb theme parties, have so often had a beer after work, dinners, on our free days we go to Kaffitár, we have competed against each other at Kaffitárs own championship and with eachother on the icelandic championship, we used to watch Idol on Hard Rock Café, all of us watch America´s Next Top Model and Silvía Nótt, I have gone to conserts with the Kaffitár Gang,... and so on, and so on.
When I went home after work I was kind of just going to my room to sleep!
I will miss you guys, thank you for a fantastic time, I have learned a lot and had so much fun, ooooo berjast! Lovjúbæ.

4 days: Farewell gifts
Today and yesterday people have been giving me farewell gifts, so now it´s final,... I can´t not go! If I stay in Iceland I have been accepting gifts for nothing!
By the way, I changed my address today,a small step for me but a big one for the U.K. hope they will handle it,...
I also bought a very funny, cool, personal and fantasticle gift for my darling Gregor today, suddenly today at work there came a voice from above and just said I belong to your boyfriend, and Marta alloved me to run instantly and buy it,... I am so clever sometimes! Or at least I hope Gregor will think I am, hehe!
P.S. Héðinn, you are insane! Thank you so much for the tamper, you are mad, but the most brilliant mad person I know!!

5 days: The icelandic bachelor
Am at Steini Freyr´s place, watching the icelandic bachelor, a reality show about a young man dating several women, in the end there is only one girl left and well if she wants him he is not a bachelor anymore!
Tonight the final show was on Skjár 1 and the show ended happily and I hope they will be happy ever after, cause if they don´t,... Séð & heyrt, Hér & Nú, DV and... will probably rip them more apart than they allready have.

7 days: Seven days!
Today at 3.50pm the phone at work called and a dry hispy voice on the other end said a short: "S-s-seven days-s-s"
People who have seen the movie "The Ring" know what that means!! In seven days, 3.50pm I will disappear from the surface of Iceland and maybe not be seen here ever again.
This will not frighten me and instead of hiding away I will live life like never before,... these seven days I have left on this beautiful island!

8 days: Fan Club
Kolbrún told me that I have had a fan club on myspace for some weeks. She says she did it because I wanted to become famous, and now I am, even Silvía Nótt is one of the fans. Haha, and I am her biggest fan, I really am!! I love that girl!

9 days: Thank God For Silence
After work last night I went to Vitabar with Kolbrún and Kristín, we were planning to have a sweatty hamburger with fries, lots of ketchup and drink a chilly beer. I had promised Dofri to cook so I went home for that and Kolbrún had herself some cereal at home so poor Kristín was the only one that ordered food.
After a few drinks at Vitabar we went down town to Kaffibrennslan and had a beer while waiting for the band Sign to start playing on Gaukurinn. Sign plays quite heavy rock and usually I am not to found of that but they were just fine actually.
We ended the night on Amsterdam where a band including my cute boss Marta´s man were playing. Fun fun fun,... then my teeth begun to ache so I went home. I had a great tme and we took loads of pictures,...

Congratulations Unnur Birna Miss Iceland,... and now also Miss World!! Haha Icelandic women win again!!
Because of this news I decided to sign my dear and very lovely friend Kolbrún for the next Miss Iceland competition,... by the way with her acknowledge, so she cannot complain can she??

11 days: Tooth myths!!
You will be on the edge of Life and Death after the tooth surgery! You will bleed like nothing else and the pain will be unbearable! You will not be able to eat anything except childrens food and icecream!! You will look like a purple mammoth in your face!!
Well it wasn´t all like that, it took just 30 minutes and it wasn´t unbearable pain, I even could eat some meltable cakes at my grandfather´s. I can not work though, all the running and screaming would just open up the holes. And can´t move very quickly, then it hurts. But I look just like usually not swollen at all. If you want to go to my dentist I will gladly give his phonenumber!!

12 days: Harry Potter and the Wisdom Teeth
I went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire the other day,...
I read the book again just two months ago just for being able to rip the movie into pieces. I think the movie should have been longer, that is divided into two films. There were so many caracters and great events that did not come. But i liked the movie anyway!! Thank the gods for books!!
Two of my wisdom teeth were taken today, early in the morning, the dentist was quick and skilled. It only took him 30 minutes!! weee!!
Now I am going to my grandfather Jói afi´s 75th birthday,... And Gregor is buying a chest of drawers for me in IKEA!!!
I love you all,... well alost all of you!

15 days: Bus driver
I had the most horriffic exprerience in the bus tonight! The bus driver was either a little drunk or totally mad. He seemed to not know how to drive a bus, he turned around corners at great speed and forgot to let people out when he stopped at bus stops. One time at a red lighthe opened the front door and just kept it open until the light turned green.
I was so glad to finally get home!!

17 days: Party of the century!!
Last night I had a party, it was supposed to start at 9 pm, but noone showed up at that time,... of course this is Iceland! Later Árni, Lady Nina + boy toy and Helga Kristín came and for a long time that was it. then suddenly the doorbell acted like it was under a magical spell, it just didn´t stop and before we knew,... 40 people of all kinds showed up: People from work, people from MA (my old school), homosexuals, one fake cousine, one lesbian and a fake Silvía Nótt (almost real though)
We partied long and had a great time, I had a hard time to chat to everyone but tried my best.
