This is a perfume mashine from a down town Dublin bar men's room. Cool isn't it. I would never use it though (allergic to perfumes for those who don't know me). Still good for the people that don't like smelling natural.

Perfume?

Neighbours And Tea
My flatmate is watching Neighbours, must be the oldest TV series full of crap that exists.
I might have found a place to live last night. If I get it it will cost me a few weeks of getting lost, but it's a nice place.
I think people at my work act like slaves, they think that it is the normal thing that your managers are unreasonable sometimes. I try to not take them too seriously though. They should rather teach the waiters some english and then the customers wouldn't complain all the time.
Yesterday while the managers were having a meeting, an angry man came up to the new girl Whatsherface and angried at her that he asked her for milk with his tea a long time ago and now his tea was cold already.
-You want cold milk yes?
URRRGH! he angried again and went away. I made more tea and milk on a tray and asked a waiter to bring it to them.
-Where is the docket for this order?
It took me a few minutes to explain that this was an already made order but the customer complained so just take it and hurry before the tea gets cold again.
-So there is no docket?
Later the manager was furious at all of us, and all red in the face. He wouldn't listen to any explanations.
I don't know whether to laugh at them or quit.

Status Update

Have not much to say, or maybe I have.
I might hopefully be moving soon.
My friend Conor is celebrating his birthday on Thursday night. And believe it or not we have friends in common in Belgium who are coming. So I'll meet Wies this week as well.
7th of March I am going for a short trip to London with two of my friends, Scott and Paul.
Hopefully I'll be able to go sometime to Edinburgh as well to visit Gregor and Þorgerður.
My 25th I am gonna spend in London as well. I might have said that before.
And one more thing, my friend is gonna be in the Alternative Miss Ireland competition and asked me to be one of the background people in the act. I am gonna ask in work if I can make it to the practices.
I am so lazy today.

-They are prolific breeders: A pair of rats can produce 15,000 descendants in their lifetime, and female rats spend almost their entire lives pregnant;
-Rat teeth are incredibly strong and can chew through walls, plumbing and even concrete.
-Rats come in different colors such as silver, blond, grey, black and albino. Some have short ears and some have floppy ears;
-The largest rat, the African rat, can be 3 feet in length – about the size of a small dog;
-Rats are expert swimmers;
-Rats can laugh and do so with a high chirping sound when amused.
Interesting! Huh?

Eggs Wednesdays
The eggers missed me today, I took a picture for you though.
Haven't yet got answer on the room sadly, hope I'll get one soon.
My current flat mates are quite loud at inappropriate times. And the landlord is a twat if you ask me.
Went hiking with my friend Scott on my two days off, yesterday I went to Howth near Dublin and today we walked from Greystone to Bray. Really enjoyed it a lot. Now my legs ache of hamstrings.
Lastly I went to the cinema to see Sweeney Todd. Enjoyed that one too.
Smooch!

Guinness Factory

The place I was looking for in my last blog is quite close to the Guinness Factory. I was looking at a much nicer room in a much nicer flat closer to work and cheaper as well. I found the place with the help of my beautiful map indeed,... I got severely lost on my way back though,... I actually pulled a Winnie the Pooh,... Went past the same street at least two times. I have no sense of direction, would make a crappy migratory bird.
If you are trying to find your way home,
and keep finding yourself instead of back at the same sand-pit,
it may be that the sand-pit is following you about.

F***ing Eggs
There I was walking home, in a pretty good mood, when suddenly and out of nowhere (actually out of a yellow car) a fucking egg comes flying inches away from me, AGAIN, and hit the wall of the house I was passing by.
I will have to find a new way home now, this was the same short street as the last time this happened, actually EGGsactly one week ago.
If they do it again I am gonna hunt them down and cut the tires on their car.
In Iceland when you see a yellow car you are supposed to hit the person next to you in the shoulder and say GULUR BÍLL.
Here when you see a yellow car you get eggs thrown at you, KURVA! (as they say in Poland)

Pancake Tuesday And Ash Wednesday

Today I was walking in town when I saw an old woman with some dirt on her forehead. Strange I thought until I saw several other (mostly old) persons with the same mark on their forehead. I thought first that maybe some bully was making a practical joke on old people but then I realized it must be some Christian holiday and remembered the Ash Wednesday. Today is the beginning of fast apparently.
In Iceland I think most people have forgotten what this day is about, I myself am not really sure, but in Iceland we celebrate Öskudagur today and the children dress up in fancy costumes and beg for sweets in stores. You could say it is our Halloween.
In Sweden children dress up as Easter Witches (Påskkärring) on the Maundy Thursday (Skírdagur/Skärtorsdag) and go to peoples homes and beg for sweets in peoples homes.
Yesterday it was Pancake Tuesday here in Ireland, when people eat pancakes all day I guess. We had pancakes at work and they disappeared like Warm Lumms (heitar lummur)haha.
On that day in Iceland is the Sprengidagur (Bursting Day), on that day Icelanders eat Saltkjöt og Baunir which is a soup made of beans and salted meat.
Swedish people have their Fettisdag when they eat a lot of Semla which is a bun filled with almond paste and cream.
Iceland has a Bun Day too, Bolludagur. Bolludagur takes place on the Monday. Icelanders make wands called bolluvöndur and all day they hit people gently on the bum with this wand saying bolla!bolla!bolla! and according to the tradition all the people you hit will have to give you a Bolla. Bolla is a bun filled with rhubarb jam, cream and topped with chocolate sauce (tastes like chocolate eclair).
So many holidays in just three days.
Hope you had a nice week of Pancakes, Semlas or Bollas.
Gods I miss Semlas!

Christmas Party
Tonight is the Bewley's Christmas Party.
I am working to about 10.30pm though and start work tomorrow at 10am.
Last night I forgot my apron(svunta) in the changing room. It will probably not be there when I get back today though. Why do people have to be so dishonest?
Sweeney Todd is in the cinemas now, I wanna go and see it soon, I love that story about the mad killing barber. Hopefully I get payed next week and will be able to go.
