Sweet popcorn...

UK and USA are famous for their strange food... USA for their SUPERSIZED food and UK for notsogoodtasting food... well in both places you can get delicious food... but in the other hand if you don't look out the strange and funny tasting food attacks you when you least expect it to.

Me and Gregor have different taste in food in many ways... he likes bacon soft and i like it crispy almost burnt for example... and... we went to the cinema tonight... to see the exellent french movie Les Chorealis or The Chorus and he asked me what i wanted as a snack and we decided to have popcorn... I went to the toilet and when I came back he had bought sweet popcorn... yes you read right sweet popcorn you can actually get sweet tasting popcorn here... I am seriously going to try as hard as I can to get myself to like the awfully sweet blownup corn... I will not give up at any cost!!!

Easter sunday

It's easter sunday "morning" and I am waiting for the shower, We went to a huge (or i think think so) nightclub yesterday called dot cotton, dreank a lot and I met lots of Gregors friends. It was fun even though the music was of the kind you have to be high on something stronger than alcohol to be able to dance to.

I came here late friday evening, my plane should have gone 15.25 but was delayed so it didn't fly until 18.50. I was starving and got steamed salmon, with bread and sallad when we came home.

Saturday was lovely, slept long and then went for a walk around Cambridge, which by the way proved to me that J.K.Rowling isn't making UK at all look like fiction... Magnolia Cresent could very possibly be a street name here and all those cute houses in the films... well the director doesn't have to look for them... the houses here really look like huge playmobil houses!!!
We saw people on the river who had rent little boats that you don't row but push it forward with a long stick, very romantic almost like a gondola from Venice.
We had some coffee in a café and i don't think I have to tell that it was terrible well not undrinkable but not fullfilling. Then we also went to a market where dad, Anna Jóna and Birna could easily sell their products. We also saw a lot of colleges, Cambridge has 32 of them!! and each have a coat of arms like the dormatories in Hogwarts, and each college I think is for different students with different skills.

Two days... only two days!!!

I am going to Cambridge in two days, or on the Good Friday... I can´t wait

I don´t know what is waiting... I wanted to get a surprice... so I´ll tell you later...

Barista Competition!!

Hallo Salut!!

The Iceland Barista Championship went fine... I am not in the team though, it didn´t go that well... It was really fun and I learned a lot... will go better next year...

Þórey Ploder from Kaffitár came in 2nd place and Kristín in 5th. Pictures

It is fun to tell you that i am the only barista now on Kaffitár who has a penis... Well at least I really think the girls don´t have one... Is there anywhere a guy who wants to come here and help me keep sane... please... please

Thrallur has gone bananas!!

My theme at the icelandic barista championship will be rasta-bananas, I am going to have banana in my drink and banana leaves as decoration, play songs with Harry Belafonte and just be jolly...

I think it will help me loosen up and not be as shaky as in the Kaffitár contest, that was crazy! I was red like a tomato... doesn´t that look bad when the theme is bananas!?! I would think so girlfriend (Þrallur does the girlfriend headshake)
