Swedish TV

There are many things that I don't like about the country I grew up in but TV is something they are very good at making.

Today I have spent a few hours watching old TV shows and ads from Sweden when I was young.

TV shows I do miss are for instance: 24 Karat, Man o Man, Tur i Kärlek, Expedition Robinson, Kär och Galen, Tutti Frutti, På Rymmen, Äntligen Hemma, Fångarna på Fortet, Sikta mot Stjärnorna, Småstjärnorna, Jakten på den Röda Rubinen, Rena Rama Ranningen, Det Kommer Mera, Ika i Rutan and many more that i simply have forgotten the names of.

But the video I am gonna post is for my beloved little brother Maggi. When I was seven and he only two we used to watch children's TV on Kanal 1. When the intro started he became so excited that he started to run around the sofa table flapping his hands slightly saying boopa boopa boopa,... continuously until the intro ended.

He will have his revenge on me some day for sharing this I am sure and I'll take that as a man when the time comes.

Maggi here you go. Lovja!

Early Christmas

On Sunday the 30th of November I am going for a 12 day trip to Sweden. I will be visiting mum for a week and hopefully I'll see my brother Maggi at some point too. He is a bit busy doing military stuff at the moment. The res of the trip I'll be in Sollerön with my sisters.

Can't wait, haven't seen the guys since last summer.

Grown Up? Nah! Not A Chance

I can't postpone this any longer.

Two weeks ago I quit my job in Fallon & Byrne, it was getting way too much of my time. The bus in and out was three hours a day fifteen hours a week, I was working nine hours a day, so with the market job included I was away from home 72 hours a week, which sounds nice but I only want a regular 40 hours per week.

So now I have time to see people, eat homemade food á la Scott, breakfast,... having some hafragrautur á la pabbi right now. And sleep 8 hours.

The sleep thing is getting a bit creepy though,... I wake up early every day! I am more and more feeling like an adult. Another adult thing is that I went to the optician two days ago and my eyes, which I have always been so proud of, are in need of glasses now. Yup Thrallur became an adult at the age of 25. But thats just my body, my mind is as young as Pippi Longstocking, så de så!

I also do the dishes after almost every meal, hoover the floor and make my bed (but only because it's easier than having to listen to why it needs to be done, haha)

My favorite TV show has started again and I am nerding over it between episodes and learning more and more about the characters, the plot, the history,... everything. I even chat online with other Heroes nerds. Thank the gods for the internet and Wikipedia!

I have found so many people I know on facebook recently. People from Vrinneviskolan, Rammunderskolan, MA, Sticks 'n' Sushi, Kaffitár, NUTU, family,... people that I haven't seen for ages, maybe I don't chat that much with them but it's nice to check out their pictures, see their new babies, new pets, new spouses, halloween costumes etc. I now know that 3 girls I know are pregnant, would never have known if not for facebook.
