Ok time to finnish... next gay pride is coming soon, haha!!!
On the evening of the Saturday I hitched a ride from Skálholt and went to the Pride Dance at Nasa. The Pride Dance is always at Nasa and is always so much fun, loads of people and loads of happiness and loads of alcohol. I went home when the cleaners arrived and sang all the way home...
Next day there was a soccer game, gay men against lesbians... gay men won and...
Then gay pride was over!

Gay Pride 2006 (second part)
Gleðilega hátíð!
That was the right greeting on this special saturday the 12th of August in Reykjavík. I woke up at lunch, had a shower took my nicest clothes and put them in a bag and ran out of the hommúna. I stopped for a few seconds at Hlemmur where all the Pride floats were piled up and ready to roll down Laugarvegur at 2pm. After that quick look I ran to Kringlan bought some pins so I could make my trousers fit in the wedding of the Huus. Yes the Huu couple got married on Gay Pride day... that was a mistakk though because they thought it would be the weekend after. Anyway Me, Marta, Kristín, Sigrún Jóna and Sibbi went driving to Skálholt where the wedding would take place. The Huus were so beatiful, mr Huu had a hat and staff and mrs. Huu had a 60's hairstyle. The wedding was both boring and sweet(just like it is supposed to be). The party after on the other side was so great. loads of food and wine and speeches and wine... The Coffee-people made a speech and had much fun in the wedding, and the rest of the guests loved us!!...

Reykjavík Gay Pride 2006 (first part)
Wow this has been a long weekend and much to tell about. Let's start with wednesday...
Wednesday evening I ran home sweatty from work to take a quick shower and run along to the National Theatre Cellar to see the Icelandic Drag Competition. The competition was fine and fun but it would have been nicer to have some more participants, there were four drag queens and only three drag kings. The drag queen of the year was the fabulous Aurora Borealis and the son of a trash mum Dóri Mokk was the drag king of 2006.
Thursday Gregor came to town and we went out in the evening to a Eurovision party along with Árni and Jómbi from the Hommúna, the party started at 11 pm and finished at 1 am, I did not like that, especially because the doorman thought it would be until 2 am and they took 1000kr in the door!! We finished the short evening with a trip to Café Cozy.
Gay Pride was formally started on Friday. The big opening was in Loftkastalinn with loads of scetches and music performances. The one thing that was more fab than the others were of course Ruth and Vigdís the norwegian drag queens. They are not only fantastic and fabulous, they are also the most funny!! After the opening ceremony there was free beer from Vífilfell and I still have a few in my fridge that i took in take-away!
Later that evening there were guys and girls parties, the only dress code for the guys party was to have been born with a penis or having put one on later with a surgery... no girls allowed!! So much fun we had dancing around like mad-men, met loads of old friends from school and before I moved away from Iceland...

Dull Day Doris
Where is the spirit that makes me write like a madman??
Just as I was writing that, Heiddi Huu came to me at Kaffitár and gave me a kiss on the cheek and left instantly! Was he the spirit?... Lets try it out...
As I write these words the Verslunarmannahelgi(bankhollidayweekend) just runs away from the unplanned Barista con Pene, Árni my withliver is in Bulgaria with the poofs. Gregor is up on Hekla, Dofri is 34, and the rest I don't know. The only thing I know is that I am unplanned and have a raging hangover with a headache and everything!! I am getting old!
Just now a girl from a country far, far away came and asked me to write the pictures in her camera on a CD, I said no problem and that was the good deed for the day. Thrallur you are such a saint!!
